People Inside Electronics, in conjunction with The Eclipse Quartet, announces its Call for Scores for string quartet and electronics.  Selected works will be performed in concert by the Eclipse Quartet in September 2011 in Los Angeles, CA.

The Eclipse Quartet, lauded as "a ferociously good quartet" by the San Francisco Classical Voice, is dedicated to the music of twentieth century and present day composers.  Made up of four women with extensive and accomplished backgrounds in international and national chamber music performance (Sara Parkins, violin; Sarah Thornblade, violin; Alma Lisa Fernandez, viola; and Maggie Parkings, cello), their combined experience incorporates a vast range of musical styles and collaborations with other media. The Quartet has performed frequently on both US coasts and has taken part in various festivals including the Festival of New American Music in Sacramento and the Look and Listen Festival in NYC.  They have been Visiting Artists at Mills College in Oakland, CA since 2008.
